You don't need to be right often. You need to be right on a repeatable basis.
- The 22-Day Rule — backtest and track any strategy across roughly 22 trading days before trusting it. A 55–60% win ratio, held consistently, is enough.
- Drawdown as a Compass — track drawdown as closely as profit. A low, boring drawdown is usually the sign of a strategy worth trusting.
- Patterns Over Gut — patterns aren't foolproof, but they give you structure, and structure is what survives bad weeks.
- The Tips Trap — tips without risk management and position sizing are how disciplined people go broke fast.
